through. And that's where this support really comes into its own!
Planning your South Asian Wedding?
This is us, LaToya & Ajay.
We’ve been planning South Asian weddings since 2012 over at SW Events. We’ve delivered weddings in all sorts of spaces but have become known for planning weddings in unique and historic spaces and 5* hotels. Our experience includes planning weddings in the UK, Europe, Africa & Asia. Additionally we’ve been judges for The Wedding Industry Awards since 2021 and delivered training on South Asian weddings to wedding venues and suppliers.

In the South Asian wedding scene you’ll find some great resources for inspiration, directories & community. What was missing is something to give couples the practicalities of planning a wedding with strong advice and guidance from people who do it daily. Enter The Asian Wedding Club. Originally founded in 2020, we’re here for you with friendly yet candid support.

Is this for us?
You want the best chance of having a seamless wedding as possible
You absolutely can. In this case the Membership works best if the supplier deals are not the biggest benefit for you, as all of our suppliers are currently based in the UK. The planning software and monthly planning sessions are applicable regardless of your location!
I don't live in the UK, can I still join?
You are very welcome to be a Member and have a Wedding Coordinator. Wedding Coordination services typically provide you the most support on the day of your wedding and slightly before. The Membership can give you added support and structure for the activities that you would need to do yourself.
I already have a Wedding Coordinator, how does that work with the Membership?
We wanted to make this Membership super accessible as we really believe in giving everyone a chance to plan their wedding with expert support. Our plan was to make the value of the membership so great that it's a no brainer for members to join.
why is the membership fee so low?
We certainly do. This is something that was really important to us as we know that every couple has a different priority on how they spend their wedding budget.
Do you recommend suppliers at different price points?
The short answer is that we either know and trust every supplier on the AWC supplier listing or past wedding couple or supplier has highly recommended them to us. It's also a balance of giving you choice without overwhelming you, which means the AWC Approved Suppliers are not an exhaustive list of everyone we've ever worked with.
what is the difference between other supplier directories and your awc approved supplier listing?
We do, however it is a list that we are still growing. Being southern based ourselves, the majority of our suppliers are currently based in the South (although many travel). We’d love to hear from you about any suppliers you’ve been delighted with.
Do you have suppliers outside of London?
This is membership with a one off cost that covers you until your final wedding event. It also means that if you have to postpone your wedding events for any reason, you're still covered at no extra cost. Crazy, right?
How long does my membership last?
You’ll be automatically logged into the portal where you can see the supplier deals, the guides, have access to the AWC services at Member prices and you can see the dates/times for the live virtual planning sessions. You'll also receive a welcome email that will ask you to complete a form so we have the right details to set you up on our planning software.
what happens when I join?
The AWC Membership is for couples who would prefer to plan their weddings themselves. On the day coordination is one of the AWC Services. We do also have a planning company that can plan your wedding for you if you prefer. And if we're not available, we can certainly refer you to other great planners.
